The countryside around Cortona is scattered with incredibly beautiful pieces of history like fortresses, castles, churches and other monuments. These perfectly preserved traces of the past can be admired along the road between a valley and a hill, amid woods and views of Lake Trasimene, on the border between two spectacular regions: Umbria and Tuscany.<\/p>\n<h2>What to see between Cortona and Val di Pierle<\/h2>\n<p>It is not easy to choose among the things to see between Cortona and Val di Pierle because all the following places deserve a visit.
