The country house – completely remodeled in June 2004 in full respect of its rustic country style, by using only locally-sourced original materials – overlooks a valley called Val di Pierle that is untouched and kissed by the sun from sunrise to sunset. Apart from the three apartments of the farmhouse, the adjacent common room, called Cambusa, has been also refurbished to offer additional services such as breakfast, cooking classes and tasting menus.

The hilly location of the country house, only 17 Km from Cortona and at an altitude of 500 m AMSL, together with the pure air of the beautiful Tuscan hills mean that summer heat is never unbearable, making thus your stay in Tuscany really pleasant and relaxing.

Agriturismo Rocca di Pierle has always paid attention to “Green Energy” and energy saving: since 2012 it is equipped with a photovoltaic system producing most of the electricity used and, for the remaining part, avails itself of the services provided by a supplier producing power exclusively from renewable sources.

Every apartment is equipped with air-conditioning and heating by heat pump, having a separate thermostat for the living area and for the sleeping area, which can be complemented, during particularly cold winter months, by a heating system with LGP powered radiators.

The favorable position of the farmhouse, a few kilometers from Cortona and from Lake Trasimene, makes it possible to quickly and easily reach the main cities of historical value and cultural interest in Tuscany and Umbria and to go hiking along natural paths or simply along the marvelous roads scattered all around the district.
